Oh, Jesus. *flails* Okay, so I knew this was going to be awesome, but - nnh. *whimpers* The ending has just taken all the words out of me. Pete's desperation, his willingness to do anything as long as he gets to keep his friends... Oh, man. Powerful and painful.

In a more general sense, I really liked your formatting. I really felt as if I was inside Pete's head, sudden jumps from one thought to another and all. It worked really well. And the small details are great - Pete remembering that he's powerless, the whole description of Buddha (I feel like Buddha would like Andy), the scratchy grass, Pete hating the taste of pomegranate. And okay, no matter how many times I read it, the line about the bass thwarting Pete always makes me snicker.

You rock, oh my god. *hugs*

AMG! I just sort of fell across this fic. hahaha. Which is so bizarre since lately I've been on this kick of drawing pictures of Pete as a Satyr (And Patrick as a centaur...I DON'T EVEN KNOW). O.o So weird! But also awesome!

Fantastic! I absolutely love this fic's little world, as well as the fic that (sort of) inspired it. Mythical themes are fascinating! Mythical themes + Bandom= A+

I'm glad you liked it, since I was thinking of your posted Greek myth bandom artwork when I wrote the last part of this. All of them frolicking in a glen, so to speak.

Sort of an Orpheus sort of thing, but minus the heartbreaking ending. You broke me, but you fixed me again with those last few paragraphs. I especially love the last sentence; it's just vague enough to add a bit of ambiguity, but at the same time, gives you hope. I love mythology, and I adore this!

I think the tragic thing about Pan!Pete, is that he keeps getting obsessed and creepily fixated on a particular person, and won't let go, like with Echo and Syrinx, and finally Patrick.

And that he would do anything to get that person. Including and up to, putting their cosmic plan on a diverted path.

I'm glad you liked it. ♥

Ooh, I hadn't read the Pan version of the Echo myth before, and I Wiki'd it... that is some creepy shit. And it does sound like Pete; he's a really obsessive guy, with questionable morals but all the best intentions.

The Greeks were creepy, especially when they were cooking up demi gods.

he's a really obsessive guy, with questionable morals but all the best intentions.

Thats this Pete exactly.
