I believe this is a slash fic, Vin brings Ella back to four Corners. She starts the rumor that Vin is guy and that gets the town going. The people turn against Vin and I believe he is bushwack by a family man that Vin has always helped in the past and some others. The other 7 find out who these men are and let Vin decide what he wants to do, but

Its probably Walk Unafraid by Jin. Excellent story of the early Chris and Vin. One of my all time favorites.
