ATF story, Vin was abused as a kid

Hi, I'm looking for an ATF fic where Vin was abused as a kid. It comes to light after Vin is seriously injured and ends up in the hospital and starts having flashbacks. He had ended up shooting his abuser in self defense. I remember it being pretty long with Vin having a really hard time and the rest of the team, Chris especially, trying to help

This doesn't match your description exactly, but it's similar so I thought I'd throw it out there in case you wanted a read. Vin is seriously injured/ill and in the hospital and the doctor is an old friend who lets the team know about his past and the abuse he'd faced and it ends with Vin getting back into contact with her parents, who Vin considered family in a way.
