Hi! Can anyone recommend some good fics where Ezra and/or Vin give the rebel yell? I have a sneaking fondness for Ezra/Vin, but it's not mandatory...

There is an old west Ezra/Vin story where Vin is captured by a group of bounty hunters who have several other prisoners already. Ezra goes after them with the rest of the seven some ways behind. Ezra assaults the campsite late at night with a rebel yell as he flies through on his horse and is able to get Vin away from them. I remember one of the main bounty hunter characters thought it was a bad reminder of the rebel yells he'd heard during Rebel attacks during the Civil War. Explosives are involved later in the story when Ezra blows up a canyon to keep the bounty hunters from getting to Vin. I looked through my Ezra/Vin stories but couldn't find it. Perhaps someone will remember the title? Now I want to read it again.

Yes, this is it! It's definitely The Past Comes Calling by Starwinder. Thanks Kimaken. It's not a big part of the story but the scene when Ezra come galloping through that camp site with a rebel yell always stuck with me.

Thanks for reminding me of this series! I adore all seven of these stories. I'll have to settle in to re-read them this weekend.
