Looking for a couple of stories

Hey all.  Hoping you guys can remember a couple of stories for me.  The first one, all but Vin were being held by bad guys and Vin had to totally make himself over to look like a teenager to save them.  He cut his hair, borrowed clothes from a family with kids but had to pad them so he looked kind of chunky, shaved, etc.  At the end, they are all

Thanks, but that wasn't it for #2. I'm pretty sure it was a gen story. The main thrust of the story was someone mistaking Vin for Chris and holding him in a mine or something for ransom. I think the ransom was like $500.00 and Ezra came up with the money.

GAH I know I've read the second one. The boys have to search the mine for Vin and don't find him and don't find him but some old guy who is always telling stories of the olden days and boring the Seven to tears had worked in the mine back in the day and he draws out a map for them so they eventually track Vin down.

I think Ezra was shot when the random delivery got messed up and when he's awake and aware he asks about the money but no one thought about it in all the chaos and he's appalled, but it turned out Chris had picked it up or something.

I can't find it though, sorry! But I'll keep looking

At least I'm not imaging it. That's the one - I didn't remember Ezra getting shot, but I remember about the money.
