I saw fall things on display at CVS the other day. I can't wait for fall - it's my favorite season. I love the cooler weather, the fall colors, even the fact that it gets dark earlier in the evening (because of my insomnia issues

Fall is my favorite season too -- which is weird, because I prefer long days and sunshine. You'd think spring would be my favorite season. But there's something autumn...maybe it's just the relief after summer here.

I like autumn too, though it often just creeps up on us, and down here we don't get a lot of autumn foliage colour. But we do get the bright royal purple tibouchina flowering, along with the first sasanqua camellias and the white gordonia trees. I think it's not just the change to slightly cooler nights, when you realise that yes, you should take a jacket with you, but also the subtle change in the sky. The days are still brilliantly sunny, but the blue sky seems to lose a little of its edge - it's clear but a softer clear, and often that faint foggy (smoggy?!) haze in the early evening.
