First of all I didn't know you were a Phile, it's odd we didn't meet before the world of BPAL. Secondly while that would be sweet part of me doesn't like the commentaries esp. when CC does them. Mostly because I want to beat him with a stick. Or a surf board.
Uh oh...what the deal with Carter's commentaries? I haven't heard any of them yet.
I'm still debating whether I should ask for this, or just buy the first 6-7 seasons (didn't care so much for where they went in the last 2 seasons) for 20$ each at my local Metro Video (w/o commentaries or any extras).
Holy crap, this would leave me with watcing material for MONTHS.
It's funny because when X-Files first came out on Friday nights, I loved it. It got popular and moved to Sunday? I stopped watching it. So I think I only got the first two seasons in. This would be a handy gift for myself as well. I'll have to think about it.
Loved, LOVED X-files, especially the mid-seasons (2 to 5). After that...not as much, but this set is quite tempting. It's like half or a third the price of the original set.
The BF hasn't seen any of them, except some of the first season we borrowed from a friend. Those ones are a little cheesy to watch, especially if you don't have the fond memories (kinda like season 1 of Buffy), but I really want to hook him on the rest of the series. I mean, the man is missing SO much pop culture reference.
Dude! So, worth it. But if your morality is in any way not solid on the badness of burning, you should buy it online. We paid a fraction of that price...
Which reminds me, I still have your season 1 to give back.
The only thing about the burning thing - there were no extras, no commentaries, and a few episodes skipped horribly. I'd prefer to pay the price for guaranteed, you know? Plus yeah, I don't like burning when it comes to shows or artists I really really love.
