That looks very interesting! Are creoles types of languages like Pidgins? I thought so, but so many people say they speak a language called "Creole".

Florian Coulmas did a guest lecture at Penn last year. I didn't go to his talk, but everyone who did tells me that his sociolinguistics was, like, laughably incoherent, and he couldn't answer the most elementary questions satisfactorily. The speaker-series coordinator was embarrassed to have invited him. Just so you know.
