It's over.

The thesis is as done as it's going to get. For those of you who are masochists or terminally bored, here 'tis:

Signs of Conflict: Language, Power, and Bilingual Deaf Education in MontrealDo I feel like a tool for using the "Signs of X" witty-title-cop-out? Oh yeah. Do I really mind all that much? Nope ( Read more... )

Thanks!! Kind of excited that I pulled it off and still made it to rehearsal Thursday night, although I slept through it today. ;c)

Hmmm... I really need to set up a list of KAFers' blogs. So far, I know you, lediva, pjainey, alyndria, and glitterybitch ... and I knew, but have forgotten, Conor's and Linda's. At some point we're going to have to sit down and figure out who I'm missing. :c)

In the meantime, I think I'm going to sleep some more...

Oh, prepare for your friendslist to triple if you're serious about this--Pastimes is more LJ-centered than any other group I know.

I think the best reference point is whaleomelette (Dave's) userinfo...of all the people in his list, maybe 2 aren't Pastimes, I think?

hey, at least you didn't use the gerunding culture witty-title-cop-out. I used that for my panel. I am a total tool.

I didn't use queer as a verb, either, which is more than can be said of more than one of my friends this year. ;c)

Is gerunding culture a cliche? It's not one we get in my subsubsubfield, although I feel like "signs of culture" has probably been used more often than anyone would care to count. [Oddly, though, it gets no ghits.] Anyway, I like your title. So there.

(And thanks for the congrats. *smile*)
