As for "The Guardian," I still read it, but the blatantly left slant of so many things gets tiring after a while. It tells me that if there's an important topic, I can't read them and feel confident I'm getting the entire picture. On the other hand, wanting to run away and hide on top of a mountain to get away from it all means that, perhaps, I don't want to read anything political any more. Sadly, I think that's not an option.
Anyways, enough rambling. I just want to say your description of how you started keeping a journal was lovely and even if your initial entries seem boring to you, they're a little slice of life and a great way to see how you've grown over the years. My critique of The Guardian as a liberal rag is a critique from the Left! It's not Left ENOUGH! For me. It absolutely witch-hunted Jeremy Corbyn, for example. But we can no doubt agree to disagree.
