I feel like I am posting everything I have even vaguely thought of all summer. This one will be a continuation of family history photos. The next one will be on Hindi and matters subcontinental, cultural and otherwise

These are all such awesome photos. I love the one of your mom on stage; she looks like such a rock star. And that last picture-bragging rights forever.

I believe you should not put long posts under a cut for the sake of maintaining a culture of long-form blogging that's in danger of extinction these days. Seriously, some people seem to believe that if you can't say it in under 140 characters, it ain't worth saying. I'm not one of those people.

I am not one of those people either... I can't bear short form 'blogging'. I have not got the hang of Twitter and I don't care to. Oh, and I may announce this as a post, but I did an informal census of my own LJ friends' feed, and YOU are the winner as the top, most regular poster of my 142 officially LJ friends. Of those 142 purported people, these days, about 13 of them post regularly, in the following rough descending order of frequency: sabotabby, springheel_jack, nihilistic_kid, angel80, toastykitten, hoyvenmayven, microbie, mistersmearcase, amarama, john_b_cannon, susanstinson, pierogiphilia, and florence_craye.

Sometimes the order might fluctuate a bit, but really, those are the most frequent posters. There are another eleven of those 142 friends who post very sporadically indeed, but that is IT. Amazing.
