I just spent $40 at your store yesterday. Why? Why do you have to tempt me so? Also, paraka? You are evil for pointing it out to me ( Read more... )

Oh, yay! :D I have never had any issues with my box set, but yeah, the case is kind of... "I hate you." :D But once you figure out how to find specific discs, it's fine. I guess. ~glares at it~ I've never regretted upgrading! And the new bonus features are cool. :D

Yay, upgrading! :D

I figure I'll solve that problem by just taking all the discs out and putting them in one of those soft binder type cases. I should even have some extra room so I can put all my various burned discs with it. A Stargate binder! But that way I can still keep the box on my shelf and giggle when I remind myself of the awesomeness of the set without the hassle of figuring out what goes where.

And I am very excited about the bonus stuff. I think I may have most of it on various harddrives, but this way I get it with nifty menues and I don't have to wonder where I put it and what I labeled it.

Ahh, very nice plan! Me, I like to have my stuff displayed like a museum. ;-D My Complete Series box sits next to the DVD player, then I have Atlantis and the movies in order of canon timeline (Stargate, Atlantis Season 1, 2, 3, Ark of Truth, Atlantis Season 4, then Continuum in a week). I also used to have David Hewlett's movie "A Dog's Breakfast" and Amanda's movie "Stuck" there, but I ran out of room and had to move them to the other side of the DVD player. :D

But yes! The set is made of awesomeness. And I like the little booklet that came with it (the first page has a great full-body shot of the entire Season Ten team, with Landry). :D

Yesss! I can't be the only one buying things when I shouldn't! It'll be nice to get everything in one go. Also, it'll be nice to finally give SG-1 some of my money, since as I was watching the show, I was watching illegal Chinese copies. I also gave in and pre-ordered Continuum. Which I actually like a lot more than Ark of Truth (which I bought last week or so). Continuum is just so classically SG-1. It's a used storyline, but it's a fun one, and I love how they brought in a lot of actors that were from earlier on, like Apophis and Hammond. :) I'm just glad Kowalski didn't show up, because I always hated that guy.

I've had Continuum on preorder for about a month. But I think I was a bit more excited about it coming out than you were since I came into the fandom on SG-1, but you came in on Atlantis. Continuum was so much better. I mean, I liked Ark of Truth and everything and I know I'll rewatch it from time to time, but the split storylines were not what I was expecting. It felt more like Sam and Cam were keeping the Ori ships occupied (and trying not to get killed by Replicators) while Daniel, Vala and Teal'c did the really tough stuff. Granted, I'm not sure how much use Sam or Cam would've been to the search for the Ark, but it still kinda bothered me.

It's a used storyline, but they still managed to use it in a different way. It's easily my favourite of the two movies and I definitely love it for reasons I won't delve into as geonncannon above this is a spoiler virgin. I'm still digesting Continuum right now. I'm sure there will be a massive post after it comes out commercially where I attempt to dissect it thoroughly.
