I expect this will be the last big one. Unless my homo friends decide to do a surprise party. They get in moods sometimes where it seems like all they do is throw surprise parties for everyone. It's fun.
Yay, you got your card! It was actually really hard to find one. I mean, most of the cards out there are like "Happy birthday you old fart" And since you're younger than me, and really not that old... Or they were like, "On this joyous occasion, I hope you, the most splendidly perfect person I know...." And I was just like, no. Then there were the ones that were like "Go buy shoes" or "From one beautiful intelligent woman to another" and again, no. I hope you liked it. And I'm glad it made you happy. :D
Yeah, except I got a phone call at about 7 that morning telling me that my grandfather had died. I'm so sorry to hear that. And it really sucks that it was on your birthday. He'd been sick for a while, right? I remember you writing about it. And I'm really sorry to hear that things didn't go all that well with your father. Family is just one of those things that's really hard to avoid if something goes wrong with just one member. :-/

He'd been sick for a while, right? I remember you writing about it. Yeah, he'd been having problems for about 4 months now. We were expecting it to happen soon because he was under hospice care and they had to put him on morphine about a day or so before because he was in that much pain. Basically, all of his organs started to fail. We knew it was going to happen that weekend.
Ooops - I guess it wasn't such a good trip then - sorry honey I should have checked in here before being thoughtlessly chipper in my lj *frowns*. It's okay. It actually helps when people are normal and go on with life. He had been sick for awhile so this was just a release from the pain. It might sound a little calous, but we expected him to go at the beginning of the summer, so I did my mourning then. It hasn't really effected me except when I saw my grandmother standing over his coffin and straightening his suit. You never realize how much little stuff like that means until you see a wife and her husband of 35 years who is gone.
So sorry to hear about your grandpa i know how it is. Is mom okay, i mean did she take it hard or were they expecting it. I am totally cool with the facts of you not wanting to talk about it. I'm also sorry about missing your B-Day i hope it was a "Smash" lol. You deserve to have re-birthday party. I hope ya feel better, and see ya soon.
