Seeing as I did not float away in the floods, I am planning a trek to Terminus... actually, Jenny was like, "Hey, roadtrip?" and I was like, "OMG get me out of my RL!" WROCK! (Do people still *SQUEE

Ack, Portus! I was afraid of this... Terminus is much more travel-friendly for me, but I do love Dallas. If you have any non-con time, you must make a trek to Pete's Dueling Piano Bar for me. You will have to cab it, but it is totally worth it. The Magic Time Machine is also a whacky dinner adventure. The servers wear costumes (Wonder Woman, Alice in Wonderland, even a Harry Potter, I think) and are in character all the time. It's totally surreal.
*hugs* RL is a soul thief, it's true. I am hoping to have escaped its evil jaws at least for the next month or two.
And I am still going to finish Pariah, so help me.
I am well! Bill and I bought a house, rescued a very sweet pit bull puppy, and are fostering a cat for a local animal rescue... the cat is a total nut job, btw, and is totally the dominant one. My job has finally settled down to a simmer, so I am at a place right now where I think I can kind of take it easy for a while, providing I stall the next promotion. I am very happy to do that. Maybe I can get some writing done.
I'm so glad to hear that things are going okay for you -- it's really so great to hear from you ♥
Alas, I will never own a cat -- allergies. But we rescued a poodle in May. We named him Larry and he is the most awesome dog EVER! Glad your job has mellowed out -- do you still travel as much?
That's a shame about the allergies. I know a cat you can have. Real cheap. (Larry might be the most perfect name for a poodle ever!)
I still travel some. Mostly to Omaha, and I make it to Dallas once a year or so. Budget restrictions with the crushing economy and all that. Spoil sports.
The new house is wonderful! Even though I pretty much hate yardwork... and plumbing. But it's just a little red ranch with a lot of yard and a big back porch which is currently swarming with beetles. Yikes.
I'm not going to any cons this year, sadly. I'd planned on Portus but RL finances killed that opportunity. I have however, made myself comfy as a stay at home mom and have taken up baking when I'm not trying to entice the Muse with porn.
Well hello there, stranger! I'm no longer really into HP, so no cons for me probably ever again (unless it's just to hang with cool people). But it would be nice to know what's going on with you! You should get back into LJ for sures. :)

I've missed you!
I wish I could make it to Terminus, but it's Portus for me this year. I could SO use a Meg hug.

Sadly, I am not going to any cons this year. RL has eaten my soul in 2008. I'm not traveling ANYWHERE, grr.
I STILL WANT YOU TO FINISH PARIAH OMG!!!!
So, what is UP?!?! How are you? It's so wonderful to see your post, and that you've checked in. ♥

And nothing - absolutely nothing - beats brownies and porn. I thoroughly support this lifestyle choice.

LJ is a good time. I need more good times. But what's with the ads? That is kinda lame. I mean, I get it, but aesthetically, not very fly.
