The only thing about "where were you on 9/11" that I really like telling is when my mother called me to make sure I was okay, and, remember now -- I'm kind of an asshole -- my reply was "Yeah, Mom, it's not like terrorists are going to drop a plane in the middle of Bumfuck, New Hampshire."

She's still mad at me about that one.

Second, me too! I mean, the happy-in-my-dream thing and then waking up going NO NO NO WHAT THE FUCK.

Oh, "Better Man." There was a time when I actually liked that song. And now it just promotes horror and tragedy. Maybe if Eddie Vedder knew that, he'd make the stations stop playing it. I mean, he's a peace activist, right? What about my peace of mind?
