New Words: 2800 on my first completed short story in two years, a non-speculative fiction Appalachian-set piece called "Poor Masters". It's about the all-too-rare negative consequences of stealing someone's dogs so you can train them as hunting hounds.

New Words: A total of 1300 -- a 450 word net gain from some tweaking and editing I did for the Hohokam section of Arizona, and 850 on a new fantasy short story called "...That Has Such Non-People In 't". Hello, And Goodbye, To Paradox
My contributor's copies of Paradox came in the mail today. This issue contains my alternate history story "Like A Stone Wall". Huzzah!
The joy of this, however, was just tempered by finding out that this will be the final issue of Paradox. Editor Chris Cevasco announced the sad news at the beginning of April but I'm only now finding out about it. ( Read more... ) -
