I am in love with London: The Biography already, and I've only read the introduction.

yeah, I'm enjoying it too about 150 pages in (surprisingly quick by my standards!)- I'm quite liking the fact that it's more ipressionistic than a po-faced history

He's such a wonderfully lyrical writer, no matter what the subject is. It reads like his novels.

He's such a fabulous writer. Hopefully, by the time I've finished this, my flatmate will have finished Thames, and I can start on that.
