Yes they are. Anyway a lot of them were kids who didn't even reach my knee, so you can bet I felt rather...LARGE. Yes, I hope the gaijin-tachi spread the word!

It was silly, really, cus I ended up standing next to both of them after I came down, and we started awkwardly talking, and I'd like to think the rest of my forceful squeebling banished any apprehension (or scared them so badly they threw any further caution to the wind! XD)

It's still scary to think of squishy Cosmos.

Well, you squeal over Kakashi, I'll squeal over Cosmos. Or any of the other 31. XD

Aww, yeah, I would've been rather awkward too. It's not as easy as people make it seem to just walk up to a random fan and chat away enthusiastically. Or at least, not for me @.@

The first time I went to Japan, in 1998 (I think), I was taken to a department store on Christmas Eve--Isetan, I think. And I was very thrilled to see a lifesize Ultraman suit wearing a Santa hat set up in the toy department! Unfortunately, I had no camera.

Later on, we found a tiny little shop that had a 6-foot-tall plush Baltan-seijin standing outside. We all took pictures with him. Baltan-seijin is not so scary when he's only 6 feet tall and squeezably soft and plushy.

I've seen Ultraman figures in Santa cloaks, and there are pictures in the Ultraman2 YahooGroup. Better still, would you like me to send you a pic? ;)
