Sense of Place

For thousands of years, humankind lived hunting and gathering, wandering, never settling down, never developing attachment to place or possession. They couldn't put any stock in a building because there were no buildings; they couldn't miss home because they had no conception of what "home" would be.

I wonder what it would have been like...
