My response to this wankIt's doubtful there was anything racist about Kanazawa's methodology or conclusions. I've read his blog before, and it's usually pretty legit. Unfortunately, we can't see for ourselves because Psychology Today was cowed by the wank mob and pulled the article

You are clearly not familiar with enough black women or Asian men if you think that one looks masculine and the other looks feminine.... *shakes head* I'm so baffled I don't even know where to start.

Well, I'm open to suggestions. You already mentioned watching TV & movies, but my attitude toward that can be summed up by paraphrasing Ani Difranco: black entertainment is tied up in the back room with a logo stuffed in its mouth.

And I'm not disagreeing that we should challenge our biases. My point is that there's a large and growing subculture of wankers on the Internet who love to run around calling people racist, sexist, etc., simply for acknowledging those biases. They attacked Dr. Kanazawa for attempting to document and quantify them. (Incidentally, the field of evolutionary psychology, and Dr. Kanazawa in particular, is one of their perennial targets, because they can't, or simply refuse to, distinguish between explaining a phenomenon and excusing it.) They've developed and more or less formalized their own "pop" schools of thought on fields like sociology and psychology, and academia is going to have to reckon with them sooner or later.
