So I was pulling out of a parking lot, and my car was acting really really weird. It constantly felt like I was in the wrong gear. It was shaking, and stalling at strange moments. I start to get really concerned. This is a brand new car, it has barely 200 miles on it. I wonder if it's because it's pretty cold out, and then I notice... Oh shit, I  ( Read more... )

Yeah, fortunately I caught my mistake before I left the parking lot. How far was target from your place?

I will never look at breadsticks the same way again...

It was only about 5-10 minutes from my house. Mum was still pissed though.

Yeah my car totally doesn't warn me about the brake. I don't even get how you can drive with it on but it totally happens @__@ It's ridiculous, don't feel bad about it *hug* We have all done it.

Poor Guffith!

Also, that is a weird dream on epic proportions. Too bad the food wasn't better.

NEVER WILL MY CAR BE REFERRED TO AS GUFFITH. EVER.

Yeah, it was a pretty odd dream. What was more surprising was how much I remembered of it. Usually I don't remember my dreams.

My car has a bright red ZOMGBRAKE!!! light that comes on when I engage the parking brake. It does not beep at me, however. I think I once tried pulling out of the parking lot at work with the brake engaged back when I first got the car, and managed to catch my mistake before I made it onto the road.

Yeah, my car has a red brake light, but it's not very noticeable, or at least not as noticeable as the smell of burning as I drive my car with the brake on... =/ Oh well, it's just another thing to get used too. Just like checking that I turned my lights off.

I never put my emergency brake on, so I never have this problem unless I'm driving a car someone else parked. Do you live in a hilly area?

Not very hilly. There are inclines and declines, but no real 'hills'. Using a parking brake is essential in a manual shift car, but I never had to use one when I drove automatics around unless I was on a steep hill.
