Help!

Sounds stupid - but I really, really want a tattoo of my seven-year affair with Harry Potter. I can't think of anything appropriate... ideally, it would have something to do with Ron, the Trio, Remus, the Marauders or something special.

Plus, it would have to be tasteful. I'm not exactly going to get a naked Ron splayed across my breasts or ( Read more... )

Well, there's always the sign of the Deathly Hallows...with the words Heart, Mind and Soul. I figure that's the Trio embodied.

Expelliarmus?

The Hogwarts crest?

A wolf, a black dog, a stag and a lily. Possibly surrounding a pair of green eyes. "Til the very end"

Yeah - I was thinking of the Deathly Hallows... I'm not sure if I want words tattooed, but I might go for the symbol if I perhaps think of a way to jazz it up a bit... *ponders*

I like the animals and Lily! I was thinking small, so maybe a stylistic design... *ponders again*

Thanks very much! :D

I wanted a wolf on my wrist, but now Moony has let me down a little I'm not so sure (I also have Lupus, the illness...so it seemed fitting, embracing the wolf within as it were...or something. Lame).

Oh, I love the idea of having 'I solemnly swear...' and the Dark Mark! Your BF sounds all kinds of awesome. Mine drew me a Dark Mark in biro last Halloween, when I went dressed as DeathEater!Bellatrix, it was brilliant, but everyone in the world sucks and no one knew who/what I was supposed to be.

A girl came into my small library yesterday with a home made top saying 'Puddlemere United' - I was so impressed, but I was harassed by customers and she left the library before I had a chance to speak to her ;__;, I have so few RL HP fans. Gutted.

I've lost the topic a bit here...

*will think about tattoos for both of us*

No - that sounds very cool and fitting! A wolf on the wrist would look quite sexy actually! :D

The bf is rather awesome, happily. Bellatrix costume is so mint... I dressed up as Ginny for the midnight opening (pop socks, red mini kilt, white shirt, hand-stitched gold and red tie, hair mostly straightened) and bounced about like a child in the bookstore. :D

Puddlemere United - I had no idea they made those T-Shirts! How fun and random. x

How about a snitch? I'm actually thinking about getting one of those... And the "I solemnly swear (etc)" thing is a cool idea too!

Snitch would be cool - but I Quidditch isn't one of my treasured things about the books, so I don't think it's for me. Be a lovely tattoo, though! :)

The only thing the bf is worried about is that the 'solemnly swear' and dark mark might make people think 'pettigrew'! Which made me laugh... but nah, not really.

I would suggest a "thestral rampant," myself. But that's because I love thestrals. And I'd probably get that. Over my right shoulder. Or on my right upper arm, to balance the SPQR already on my left.

That looks like a beautiful tattoo - perhaps too masculine for myself *is extremely fussy about permanent things'. And forgive my hideous ignorance, but what does SPQR stand for?

A "thestral raping" would be perhaps too masculine. But a thestral rampant, I think, would suit either of the sexes quite well. :D

Be ignorant no longer!

Thinking of getting one? :) (Do you have any btw, Linz?)

It'd be a stunning tattoo - especially if you had the wings slender - but I don't think Quidditch is one of my favourite things about the series.
