I don't really get fanfic stuff, so I won't be commenting on that, but I still want to be friends.
You poor thing in Slough. I have to drive past it on my way from mine to my parents.

I love where I live in Slough, and there are many worse places to live, but it certainly does have its moments.

Hah, the trouble is no big deal, except that these are people I used to live next-door-but-one to. I just miss having people close by, I guess?

Good to hear from you again, but boo for the living in Slough thing - I'm with Betjeman there!

I've added you to my flist, but - hey, you think you're bad at updating?. I'm currently running at one entry a year. Oops....

Oh, and I'd love to be added to your RPF filter, but I think you probably guessed that.

Also v jealous that you've seen The Hobbit - I have yet to, hoping to go in Jan after schools are back and the cinemas will (hopefully) be less crowded and noisy.

Hey! Slough's not that bad! Well, not as bad as the bus-then-train-then-bus commute from my old flat, anyway. Though yes, it's not picturesque or particularly well-appointed, but I do suspect that there was a touch of classism in Betjeman's rant.

(I suspect you have probably seen the place far too close to, though, considering your old job? It does have its moments.)

I must confess I'm currently contemplating going to see the Hobbit a second time. Though some of us don't have the option of going whilst kids are at school so I'll just have to take my chances.
