I didn't realize (until I read it in a recent interview) that VK gained weight for S5 of Mad Men. He's clearly lost it again now as he looks so much thinner in these photos. No sign of Pete's double chin whatsoever! It's also nice to see that his hairline has grown back too after he shaved it to make it look like Pete was going bald.
Good on VK for being prepared to uglify himself to play Pete Campbell. That must be tough on a show where the likes of Jon Hamm and Christina Hendricks get to be jaw-droppingly beautiful and glamorous. Though may I say that (out of character) I've always though VK was a strikingly beautiful looking man himself.
Great interview too. I turned 30 recently and I totally agree with the "30 year olds are just teenagers who got older" feeling.
Vincent's done it before, he gained a ton of weight (and shaved his head) for his part in Killing Zelda Sparks. But he wasn't fat, he worked out and was actually pretty muscular. It was weird seeing him that way.
I agree about his looks, he's incredibly gorgeous in my eyes. More than that, I think he's one of the most beautiful people on the planet. I can understand why John Hamm is considered sexy, but his type doesn't do anything for me.
Vincent's got such a skinny build that he still looks thin even with extra weight on.
John Hamm isn't my type either. I think in the MM setting, Hamm looks better all clean cut in a suit more so than Vinnie. I first saw Vincent in 'Another Day in Paradise' and I remember a lot of film critics saying he looked "too beautiful" to be a drug addict. I'd say Vinnie looks most attractive when he's scruffy and long-haired. If only Pete could go through a beatnik phase!
Oh god, I *love* him with long hair. The slicked-back short hair doesn't suit him at all. I really like it when he's scruffy too, LOL. Maybe Pete will become a hippie? *grin*
He really did look beautiful in Another Day in Paradise.
