I worked on letters, references, etc., all morning.  Then had to take a bath or else.  Curtailed dog's schedule back, so it would allow me to leave a half an hour earlier than following his "3:pm" dinner.  Actually involves a lot.  Then I had to check a few things - like grabbed btripp's info at last minute.  Walked to library, but ended up w/ not ( Read more... )

my day, my cfs diary (2023), +, disappointment

That's a nice one. I was expecting a female punk group but got semi-esoteric punk Elvis. Rockabilly. Some great guitar crunching.

My familiarity with the cramps seems to have gone away. But this sounds like something the Sunday all-night WORT DJ would spring on everyone at 3:am.

The Cramps marketed themselves as "Voodoo Rockabilly" (and, heck, one of their initial members was a Voodoo practitioner) ... a life-long project of Lux Interior and Ivy Rorschach (lead guitar), they both rocked till they dropped. Here's a "greatest hits" compilation from mid-career:

I am listening to a bit of it now - can't do full right now. I can see how you would like them. Great concept and great music. I believe I knew of them via WORT. I still don’t have my drivers license lol. I failed my driving test twice then I didn’t bother going back because I moved to a city and there’s so much public transit lol.

Yes, big cities are different. I once wanted nothing more, and not to have a car. Not now. I want to live in a rabbit hole in Manchuria or something.

How did you fail 2x? If I may ask? Actually, I wouldn't think of you as being someone who would fail a DL test.

I was so freak'n nervous when I took my driving test that the examiner passed me and said "drive safely, OK?"!

I guess mental conditions do have their upside.

Oh - passed you as in passed you. Not passed you by and left, lol.

Sometimes irony can be a real, good thing, maybe.

I think I was also nervous when you took that test, lol.
