Lol at christmas tree.

I was toying with the idea of going vegan but the amount of stress that would cause not being able to eat anything with eggs, butter, cheese would be to unbearable, so I've become vegetarian instead.

I try to stay low on the cheese, etc., esp. if feeling heart pains. I'll have no more than one egg in a day, and usually follow that w/ absorbent porridge, as I once mentioned. But I can't imagine not having eggs at all, as they do have some great ingredients.

Do you freeze eggs with shell on or take it off? Thinking of freezing some eggs.

Also how long do eggs take to defrost?

I started this when I froze some, in-shell, for dog back when I had no air-conditioning, so he could snack on them as popsicles.

I figure keeping the shell on is best, as it would lessen dehydration - and the freezer taste. The eggs I am storing are also in water (ice), etc.. If the electricity goes out, I figure this will keep them OK for some time, depending on the air temp.

I seem to remember it does take a little while for them to defrost, but not sure. And I seem to remember there being an issue with the inner membrane during pealing - and maybe some breaking up... we'll have to see. If these happen, then maybe no shell next time. It might be good to try reboiling them, and see what happens.

Thanks, I'll take what youve said into account. I'll take the shell off. :)

That might be best.

If things go wrong for me, I can feed them all to the dog. But I would do as you otherwise, I think.
