I live in the middle of a tragic triangle.  Chicago, to the east, has it regular shootings - and two were killed during the riots last night.  Saint Louis, to the southwest, was the scene of the Ferguson protests and violence - and now had four police officers shot during the current riots.  Up to the northwest, there is Minneapolis, ground zero of ( Read more... )

Antifa is not an organisation. It simply means to be antifascist, which everyone should be.

There are people who support or join Antifa who believe exactly that, and some people join in spontaneously, so it may broadly appear that Antifa is not an organisation. In fact, Antifa has a large core of members who are funded by George Soros and others, some of whom are associated with the FBI. I knew one of them for a while. Most people joining in with Antifa do so out of socialist or anti-fascist beliefs. However, with an agenda of anti-nationalist and pro-global-Statist violence, Antifa is ultimately a fascist organisation. It is absolutely appropriate to deem it a terrorist group - and this is coming from someone who has supported progressive causes all his life, and even has a LJ community called "fascist_watch". There is a level of instigation involved in the recent riots involving Antifa, (attributed to Russians or neo-NAZIs), which is not being covered by the corporate media, which I will touch on when I ever get around to writing that post. Yeah, this is crossing some lines for me. I'm sorry to say that there are things in your journal that have consistently raised some red flags for me so I think it's time (with nothing personal) to take you off my friendslist. Take care also.

Nothing excuses any of the violence.

It's interesting the other commenters ignored everything about the other deaths and shootings and deaths, and instead got pissed because you called antifa a group. Antifa is a group - they all wear the same masks, they all declare the same targets, they all plan together, and most of them are funded by the same billionaires and countries. They don't want to be called a group because it's just another mask for what they are doing, and their responsibility for the crimes. Why do they call themselves "antifa" if they are not a group?! Lunatic.

Thanks for daring to speak up for the victims.
