Yes, bleak. Not good for Lake Tahoe area - forests. I know people there. Maybe Lake Tahoe will erupt.
The ground in California is sinking. This is not good news for fault lines.
I heard about Brown's latest budget. I'm not sure if the high-speed train is on that budget, costing like $96 billion. But the cost of that train would be more than enough to pay for many desalination plants. (I don't know if desalination plants are on the budget either).
