I think it's clear that methane is secreting from below permafrost and the oceans. I've done several posts on this.

As far as explosions. I don't know why explosions might be happening. However, they are entirely possible.

This is a fascinating area.

I will tell you that I also do not discount that rifts and sinkholes may also be forming partly because the planet is getting larger.

One of my favourite conspiracy theories.
