At first I wasn't sure, but I am liking this. Especially the "behind the scenes" with the film making process. I like that you're giving explanations on them, too. I've done some indy film work and it's neat to see it in writing.
Interesting take on the characters, too.

Glad you're enjoying it. I've done a lot of writing and such for people in the film business but my knowledge of the filmmaking process is largely secondhand. I hope I'm getting it mostly right, within reason.

as I've said in a few comments above, I'm going to minimize the amount we see of the film being made, because that's not the point of the story and it's sort of gross for me to write this film that's supposed to be this brilliant script and such. Better to leave it mostly to the imagination.

I tried to make John's acting choices clear but vague, if that makes any sense, and non-obvious.
