Being An Adult Report: Pretty good! Got up on time, lunch was packed last night, I am totally caught up and keeping current on my laundry. Having the new machines is nice because I never have to worry about wasting water and/or energy on a smallish load, so it's okay if I just want to wash a few pairs of pants and a couple of shirts. So how does it connect to the car? Is it just an audio aux plug? Or a USB or what? B/c I have the proper display capability, but nothing other than a basic aux jack (well, and a power/lighter outlet).

Grownup Car came with a USB jack and an iPod jack. The cord actually plugs into both at the same time, which allows the car's sound system to access the iPod's menus.

Glad to hear you're not getting sick. Sick sucks. :)

I wouldn't lend too terribly much credence to the Dream of Weird. Dreams are weird anyway.

Ah, you succumbed the the cult of Suzanne Collins! I couldn't read it before bed or I'd just stay up too late. Enjoy.

So... this has nothing to do with this entry, but you're the Keurig person on my flist so I have a question. :P

I'm thinking about putting a Keurig on my Christmas list, but I'm on the fence between the full one and the mini one. The mini one would be much more convenient for me size-wise, but what exactly is it lacking compared to the full-sized? Is it just basic coffee-pot-type-things like a timer? I only make coffee at night, so a timer isn't really important to me.

I think the main difference is that the mini one doesn't have a reservoir, which means you have to put water into it every time. When I was pondering my Keurig choices I didn't think that would matter, but having been using mine (I have the platinum home brewer) for awhile, I think not having a reservoir would be super annoying. I also like having the ability to have it turn itself on at a certain time of morning so it's ready to brew when I come downstairs. Not that it takes a long time to warm up, maybe ninety seconds, but still. And honestly, even the biggest brewers still aren't very big. And considering that the Elite brewer, which has a reservoir, is only ten bucks more than the Mini, I think it's well worth it.
