Random question, what does it mean, that you're interviewing a prospective Bryn Mawr student? Is this something you do for your alma mater? Is it a traditional practice. I work in student affairs so I was interested by that comment.

Also, thanks for always posting about how 'being a MFing-adult' is going, it inspires me to my own acting-like-an-adult behaviors.

When high school girls apply to Bryn Mawr they're not *required* to have a face-to-face interview but it's strongly encouraged. Since our applicants come from all over the country, applicants can opt either to go visit campus and have an interview while they're there, or they can be interviewed by a local alumna. Like me!

Man, you are both more physically active/ ten billion times better at being an adult than I am. *laugh* I really need to work on both of those things.

I think I'm also going to make up a batch of African Groundnut Stew soon.

I'm so glad you stole that recipe from me! I was actually thinking I would make some more of that soon too. Once I run out of the bean stew I made over the weekend, I'll need more exciting lunch foods.

I looooooove that stuff. I've made it often enough now that I have the recipe committed to memory, and I keep the ingredients on hand (except the sweet potatoes and zucchini, which I buy fresh).

I recommend doing some simple balance exercises to help avoid future ankle problems. Can be as simple as standing on one foot for as long as you can while watching TV. or stand on one foot at the gym and toss a medicine ball back and forth with someone. Or do squats while standing on a bosu. Or stand on one foot on a pillow you've pulled off of the sofa. All good things to improve your balance and strengthen muscles at your ankle and hips.
