it also can go the other way around. I have been in groups where a woman joins only to meet men and is only vaguely interested in socializing with any women and/or non single men.

We belong to a games group for couples and singles and the standing joke is "We Aren't THAT Kind Of Group!" Had some swingers join and they were rather put out when the hosts pulled out the scrabble board instead of the 'Swap the Wife' board *laff* So sometimes the line has to be drawn before the ppl join.
