So today I went to check my credit card statement. Which I usually do every month but haven't done in a couple. I never use my credit cards, but I always check because in the past, somehow magically charges have appeared there for services I never wanted or signed up for, because that's how they get you. IIRC in Norway they can't charge you money until they have your signature confirming the contract.

Ugh - I work in customer services and I hate people like that. There's no need, EVER. She's an idiot. But hey, at least the first guy was cool, right?

I hope everything works out for you card-wise, if only so you don't have to deal with someone like that again!

That's what kills me. I did call center work for several years and for several different companies and if I ever dreamed of doing something like that to a customer I'd be fired immediately. This made things especially tough for me when calling customer service as the customer because I expected the same respect I gave all customers regardless of the nature of their call and I never, ever got it.

Shady mo'fos is what I like to call them all.

Unrelated, I made your cabbage and beef soup recipe from a few posts ago today. We just ate it and it is *delicious*. Very good autumn food.

that's just weird. i hardly ever see strange charges. in fact, i think (knock on wood) about zero. I have seen some "tip inflation" a time or two from restaurants, though.
