Ooh, I'd love to see about eight of those bands...but I sure wouldn't drive all the way to Austin for them. Well, okay, maybe for The Swell Season. But the rest of them...too bad.
Well, yeah, not quite what we were hoping for, is it? I mean, I do love the Foo Fighters, and would love to see Robert Plant and Alison Kraus perform together. Their album is phenomenal. And Duffy is great too. But was hoping for a bit more...
Aw, Lori, I'm sorry, I know how much you wanted to go.
I've seen Alejandro Escovedo in Ann Arbor. He's a former punker ( The Nuns) who now does classical guitar and jazz. And isn't The Raconteurs the one with Jack Black ( Detroit boy!)? I've always heard Jakob Dylan had talent too, although I didn't realize he wasn't still with The Wallflowers.
Hmmm, there's a few artists I wouldn't mind seeing --Patty Griffin, The Swell Season, Band of Horses & City & Colour. Although I'm amused that City&Colour are way down on the bottom cause if it was here (Toronto), C&C would be getting top billing. :)
I do feel bad that the lineup isn't to your taste but there's always next year, right?

Anyway sorry for your disappointment.
