Austin City Limits

So. I'm seriously considering going to the Austin City Limits music
festival this year.

The lineup is my total orgasm lineup. Wilco, The Killers, Muse,
Arcade Fire, Andrew Bird, Damien Rice, Regina Freaking Spektor,and that's just the beginning. Looking at this lineup it's very clear

Caveat...I found out that the lineup I mentioned is last year's lineup. But given ACL's hugeness I'm sure this year's lineup will be equally awesome and chock full of indie rock goodness.

Are you at all willing to camp? When I was growing up with a single mom with a low income we were able to do a lot of things we otherwise couldn't have because we stayed at campgrounds. Even though we didn't have a camper we always got a site with electricity. That allows you to plug in your hairdryer, your coffee maker, or whatever such conveniences make your life a little sweeter.

That line-up sounds so sweet...wish I was back in Texas; I'd go! And Austin is such a fun town...

I really hope you can go, Lori. You should travel as much as you can, IMO. Life is short.

You might check out youth hostels ( people of all ages use them). There is also something called the Interfaith Hospitality Network, they have a place in Ann Arbor and I think it's free or very low cost.

Or maybe you could brownbag some lunches ( you may do this already) or reduce some other expense to save the money.

I will be seeing them this summer for the *counts*....sixth time? I think it's six.

I love them SO FREAKIN' MUCH. I saw them at Wembley Stadium last summer, and they were entirely awesome.
