TV wrap-up

Oct 23, 2007 15:39

Haven't done TV wrapup in awhile.

1. Dexter, also known as "the show all other shows ought to study to learn how not to have a sophomore slump," because when you think it can't get any more awesome, whoops it does. ( Serial killers and the women who love them. )

tv: reality, tv: friday night lights, tv: nonfiction, tv: heroes, tv: dexter, tv: misc

Now is the chance I take to recommend you Gordon Ramsey's autobiography! It's a really good read, and gives you a background to how cool he is, and makes you realise that he actually does know what he's talking about.

Gordon Ramsey=made of win!

So glad you're still very much into FNL. I swear I get more excited over Fridays than ever now. Oh, and the totally ironic part of all this: I hate football and never used to "get" it before, and this show has actually helped me understand more of it. Not that I am following anyone to watch, but still.

Do you get BBC America? Try and watch the British version of Kitchen Nightmares... much less schmaltzy and with more interesting restaurant problems. I love watching Gordon terrifying people into correctness.

I've seen every single episode of Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares. I miss it. :-( But I think the US version is pretty close, actually.

Oh, it's still good and everything. But I liked it that the British restaurants had to do their own makeovers themselves rather than Gordon Claus just giving it to them. And I think the American version has too many "cut to fuckwitted restaurant owner crying" moments. Personal tastes.

"Life" is totally one of my favorite new shows in a long time.

"Heroes" is finally firing on most cylinders after a slow start... I've loved the last few episodes, and I like where it's finally going.

I'm still enjoying "Chuck" and "Journeyman" ... the twists and foreshadowing in the latter have me really interested. Unfortunately both these shows are bleeding viewers.

And "Big Bang Theory" is a suprise favorite fo rme.
