Anyone have any actual wisdom on the efficacy of various toothbrush bristles?

I have no idea about the bristles, but Sonicare is the only way to go. Soooo worth the money; I got paid back in vastly better checkups. I used to always have a cavity, no matter what I did, but the Sonicare stopped that.

OMG Mimsy, I adore your icon.

You know, I expected to hate Jack for getting in the way of the Doctor and Rose's OMGGREATANDTOOBYLOVE but surprisingly, he didn't. And I love him.

He had me at "Who looks at a screwdriver and says, 'Oooh, this could be a little more sonic?'" And of course, "Well, I have a banana, and in a pinch you could put up some shelves."

Isn't it great? I was out hunting and gathering icons yesterday, and I HAD to have that one. It's brilliant.

I really love Jack. I like his cheesiness, and his cheesy good looks, and I loved how much fun the three of them had together. I'm glad that there's going to be more of him in the future.

I was watching the last episode of the first series with some friends and had been telling them about Torchwood and how it was great to have a bi-sexual scifi hero, and one of my friends said, "But will he really be all that bi-sexual?" And then the goodbye kiss scene came on, and he had to conceed that the BBC had loosened up in recent years.

I went in to the dentist for a horrible pain due to my wisdom teeth and he gave me the toothbrush with his name on it and specified that I should use it cause it's soft. It rocks!

Yeah, but the neat thing (if they do this like last time...) is in the time differences. The torrents are usually up by Noon-1pm CST, which rocks muchly. *G*

My dentist always give me soft bristle toothbrushes, and I never used them, preferring the medium. However at my last visit, he asked me if I wasn't using the brush he gave me, because my gums were pretty messed up, and he told me that SOFT is the way to go. Less harsh on the gums (they're tender, you know), and if you brush correctly, just as efficient as getting out the gunk.

Indeed; from my experience, dentists have always recommended soft because otherwise it's hard on the gums.

Soft ones are supposed to be the best for your gums.
