That chalk art is amazing. Trompe l'oeil is one of my favorite types of art. The old Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami had a wonderful trompe l'oeil that used to get a lot of people rubbernecking at it on the local highway. Alas, the hotel has been torn down, but I was pleased that I got to see the drawing before that happened.

Wow, thank you for linking that fandom post. I've always loved the idea of how art brings people together and gives them something to talk about together and a way to relate to each other, and I feel a very special attachment to fandom because it is such a perfect example of this. I am definitely one of those who feels like I am able to show my real face in fandom, even though the people I meet in it have no idea what I look like, how old I am, or maybe even what gender I am unless I give some indication of these things. Reading that made me very emotional.
