I belong to the 50bookchallenge community, which is, as the name suggests, a challenge to read 50 books in a year. I've gotten many good book recommendations there from hearing about what others have been reading

I have just finished reading 'Wicked.' Can't wait to see what you think of it. I'm now reading 'Son of a Witch' and re-reading 'In Cold Blood' after watching the movie Capote.

Is it 50 from a specific list? 50 during a calendar year? 'Cause I read many more books than that per year.

No, it's just 50 from a 12-month period. There are plenty of people who keep tallying past 50. There's one who's past 200 and is only about eight months in.

Now, I'm a fast reader and I read a LOT, but 60-70 is probably what I'm going to hit. I can't imagine reading 200 in a year.

If I were a full-time writer and could devote, say, four hours a day every day to reading (as I'd love to do) then I could make that easy.

Okay, it's true that I have been off work on disability the last year and can read pretty much all I want. Heh. We'll see how it goes when I go back to school for an MLS. THAT might slow me down.

I have read Wicked and some of Gregory Maguires other books.. Wicke dand Son of a witch ar emy favorites though

I think I joined 50bookchallenge around April of this year, too.

Totally lost track of what I've read.
