So in the lobby of Geek Central, near the elevators, is a big blue board that has pictures of all the new-ish employees. When I started here back in September, I got my photo taken for inclusion on this board, which I knew they only changed about once every six months

Yes, the fellow playing Satan was great (as he was in Fargo). Tilda Swinton can always be counted on to have a twisted role, and she was great as well, for the 15 minutes of screen time she had. But I'm also a fan of Rachel Weisz, so liked her as well.
But then, I even liked Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, with Kevin Costner. I didn't care that he didn't have an English accent, I was just into the movie.
But I can also watch some very awful movies, especially if they're deliberately B movies, and get a kick out of them. But I don't like everything, hated Summer of Sam for example. Ick.
Anyway, off the box. Later all

And I have a soft spot for Prince of Thieves, too. Except for the part where his dad gets killed, because he looks like MY dad, and it freaks my shit out, man.

I was looking forward to it being a huge fan of the comic books, but alas I fear I'll only be disappointed. The comic book is brilliant - I highly recommend it!
This makes me fear what might be done to Neil Gaiman's work after the butchering of Alan Moore (From Hell and LXG) and now this. Damn Spider-man and X-Men for starting this revolution!

Imagine Hellblazer with Jude Law. Constantine is supposed to be British, after all. Wow.

Don't get me wrong - I really enjoyed X-Men and Spider-Man, but I'm not really a Marvel girl. I'm much more a DC and especially Vertigo kinda gal. I just wish DC could hook up with a director that loves the material like Sam Rami and Spider-Man. That was a match made in heaven.
Unfortunately the comic book collection at work is Marvel heavy although we just had someone donate an almost complete run of Hellblazer so I was in heaven! I curate (for the lack of a better word) a mid-size comic book collection in a university special archives.
