Using already-made yogurt will yield perfect results (back in college we made yogurt in the lab refrigerator; plastic cups+milk+yogurt) but that's a lot of options to explore, mix & match. Enjoy.
The coupla times I made yogurt at home, I drained it overnight through cheesecloth to make Greek-esque yogurt. It's an extra step, but it works really well!
