Does anyone know where in town one may acquire paneer cheese, and just good Indian spices in general?

Maharajah grocery store. It's right next door to the restaurant, over by East Towne.

I know Willy St sells paneer, but it's not very cheep. :/

as odd as it may sound, try hyvee. i believe i was told they even make their own paneer cheese there.

You can make your own paneer CRAZY cheap and quick. I've done it, and it's totally worth it!

For spices I'd recommend Penzey's on University ave. They have Indian kits with assorted spices. The spices are very high quality.
