Moooooo Moooooooooooo

Oh, great oracle of all knowledge... I need your guidance! The *perfect* gift for my aunt just walked past me on the street but the woman was gone before I could stop her and ask her where she bought it. And, of course, I need it today or tomorrow so ordering from the internet isn’t going to help.

Has anyone seen something like this in a local shop ( Read more... )

shopping

You're unlikely to find it in the maul, more likely to find it in one of the Wisconsin stores on State Street...personally I'd print out that picture and take it to the cheese shop near the capitol, and work my way down. ;)

Cheese shop is GONE. :::sobs::: But, yeah - If no one has specifically seen one I'll start window shopping State St. I just really don't have a lot of time to do that in the next two days.

I've been seeing a lot of animal hats on State St, but I'm afraid I don't remember which stores exactly, and whether or not they were cows. Try Urban Outfitters, Ragstock, and....there's that one store with UW-Madison-logo clothing, south side of State, I think it's between Lake and Frances? Sorry that's not much help.

You might also ask the Historical Museum gift shop?

Thanks - Those are all good suggestions. I might spend an hour calling around if no one guides me right to them... I also thought maybe Capitol Kids might have something, but then I run into the size thing. Still, maybe.

I definitely saw some animal hats through the window at Ragstock but I'm pretty sure a monkey and some other animal that was not a cow unfortunately. Worth calling though.

I might have seen them at Little Luxuries (on State Street) the last time I stepped in there, but I'm not sure.

I'm always amazed when local Pros fans randomly pop out of the woodwork - I have a couple on my f-list now... Maybe we should start a club or something - I'm due for a rewatching marathon. Tragically, I live in a postage-stamp sized apartment or I might have been motivated to make this happen sooner. :-(

I got my son a lion and a monkey hat that look very similar to this one(except, you know, they don't look like cows) at Whole Foods. They both fit my head as well.

Awesome lead, thanks! Do you recall if they also had adult sizes (of the animals that were there?)

I don't think there were specific sizes. They're knit, and then lined with fleece, so they stretch a bit and seem kind of one-size-fit all. They don't fit my husband, but his head is so big it has it's own gravitational pull. They're a little big for my son(who has a big head for a 5 year old) and both of the ones we have stretch nicely to fit me, but they're handmade so it may depend on the hat itself.

Thanks - If none of the State St. options pan out today, I'll swing by there tomorrow on my way home. I've been trying to find time to go by there for some other things anyway.
