What are you experiences with Access Community Health Centers? Doesn't matter what you went there for or which location, I'm just looking for general experiences with the group. Thanks!
I think they are AWESOME! Every Dr. and nurse I've seen there really seems to care and listen to what you have to say. They are also great about getting you in in a reasonable amount of time and if you have something come up that you would prefer to be seen for ASAP, they have always been able to get me in that day or the day after. I started going there because I didn't have insurance, but now that I do have insurance...I still go there because of how great I've been treated.
I loooove my doctor, Elizabeth Poi! I've been meaning to post about her. She's very through, takes my rambling concerns about a tiny wart on my hand seriously, and I would totally hang out with her. I'm also having issues with gaining weight due to my speed of light metabolism, and Dr. Poi sent me to a very nice nutritionist, who was covered under Badger Care and also right there in the clinic.
They've also got a pretty cool Behavioral Health team there, but they are not covered under my insurance so I've stopped seeing them until I can turn in paperwork for the sliding fee discount.
I've heard that the dental program is very good, but very swamped and it can take months to get an appointment.
