Think you should be seeking a *gap* job - try the government - http://www.jobs.qld.gov.au/ - contract jobs for 3 to 5 months and give yourself a breather from the seeking

I like the "gap" job idea. I did a few of them and had more fun with them than any other jobs I've had. Most of them I presented my resume before I left, one never knows if they or their friends are looking, but mostly they were to fill time and give me a break from looking. The extra money didn't hurt, either.

The shared house sounds promising; I don't know how the three of you will get along that close, but with three paying the bills, there's at least some backup.
