What.. no Superbad? Is From Hell a book from which a movie of the same name was made with Johnny Depp and Heather Graham?

Haven't watched Superbad, sorry to say. Also on the haven't watched list: No Country For Old Men, There Will Be Blood, Juno and many more.

Yes, From Hell was made into a movie with Depp and Graham. However, I've heard it stinks and has very little in common with the book.

Ah yes. I've seen From Hell. It was pretty unremarkable.

Renoir's Rules of the Game?? :-/

If you are a fan of Before Sunrise/Before Sunset, try "Conversations with other women," if you haven't yet, and let me know what you think - particularly the split screen technique.

Yes, Renoir's. Hadn't watched it earlier.

I've not seen Conversations, will look it up. Thanks!

I love that you refer to it as "your" 2007. I do a similar list that includes movies old and new, I'm so going to use that (if it's all right with you). It's so much easier than saying MY FAVORITE MOVIES I SAW FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 07 YALL.

I'm disappointed at how many critics seem to have forgotten Ratatouille already.

If I had to boil my list down to five, I don't think Taare Zameen Par would make it. I love it and all, but all the same, I think there was a Bollywood film made with a more sure hand at direction - Johnny Gaddar. Recommended if you haven't seen yet.

I've seen Johnny Gaddaar and liked it a lot, too. However, I still think I'd prefer the five I've named, at least from an overall cinema-experience point of view.
