I so enjoyed this - I'm completely exhausted after an SPN binge over at my friend's house, but got started on this when I peeked at LJ before bed and couldn't stop reading! I love how we're getting Daniel's point of view of the current situation and, through his notes, others' views of some recent heroism on the part of Sam and Dean. Dean's worry and Sam's stoicism are both heartbreaking. You don't wade into the angst, or overdo it, but leave us with the sense that no matter what happens with Sam's leg, the boys have a home at last. Wonderful!

Thank you so much for reading and for taking the time to leave such a lovely review, especially after your SPN binge!

I'm so happy you liked the boys here. I wanted Dean to be worried but also a little in denial for Sam to be planning for the worst case scenario. These boys really do like to break our hearts, right?!

I really wanted this story to focus on the community of support that the boys have and that no matter might happen in the future, they have a whole town to watch their backs. I'm so happy that you picked up on that.

Thanks again for your kind words and support. Take care, ;)

PS Are you working on a new fic?

Hi, and how are you surviving after this last episode or two? This last one was so funny (pishtacos?) and then... OUCH!

I just wanted to respond to your note and say that unfortunately I'm not writing at all. :( Work is KILLING me right now. I'm in a temporary position and bucking for a full time one, so nose is to the grindstone. I sure hope you're writing, though! :)

We don't get season 9 here in the UK until the summer which sucks big time. But I've heard its been tough recently, I guess we'll just have to ride it out and hope for some bro-mos in the near future.

I'm sorry to hear that work is rather hectic at the moment, but good luck with the full time position. Isn't it annoying when RL gets in the way of fandom life!!!lol

I'm usually always tinkering with something. I do have an idea for my next fic but its a kind of future/apocalypse thing and I've never done one before so I'm not sure about it. We'll see. Other than that I'm waiting for some inspiration to come my way...

Lovely to hear from you! Take care, :)

That was really beautifully done. Outsider POVs are almost always interesting but I especially love how you wove in the thoughts of the townspeople who knew what happened, and are grateful almost beyond words, and newcomers who are seeing him from yet another perspective. I really enjoyed this.

What an awesome review - thank you so much! I'm so happy to hear that you enjoyed the fic.

I really wanted to allude to some kind of secret supernatural event that has brought the community together. I wanted the town to treat the boys like the true heroes they are - I think they deserve that kind of network of support.

Thanks again. Take care, :)
