Ah, this was so sweet! I love how you incorporated lots of details from the movie into the narrative but still made the story different enough. But what I liked the most was how Jensen felt drawn to Jared even before they met because Jared's beacon was the brightest. That's a fitting metaphor for Jared's beautiful soul. ♥

Thank you so much!!! I knew that I wanted to steal the premise from the movie, and slip in a few other elements too, but I wanted Jared and Jensen's story to be the heart of the fic. Such a beautiful story! I love that with such a tense story you stuck to the people, how they survive, and telling us just enough without overdoing all the background and details of how they got here.

I kind of persuaded amberdreams to art for this as she wasn't aware of the movie; but I knew that I wanted to steal the premise and a few other elements, but that the heart of the fic would be J2 and how they save each other, and change each others lives.

I've never seen the movie, but I loved this! You make us feel all the tension and the horror of this silent, scary world, but there's hope too. Bravo! :)

You're the sweetest - thank you so much! As amberdreams hadn't seen the movie either, I knew that I wanted to borrow the general premise and maybe a few other elements, but that the heart of the fic would be J2 - that way hopefully you can enjoy it without being familiar with the movie at all (it is wonderful and I'd recommend it, but it's a very tense watch!)
