This is I think exactly how Castiel feels on the issue. Fabulous drabble honey ♥ I find myself falling back in love with Castiel from episode to episode this season. It's not that I didn't love him, but it's more a case of he felt under utilised to me a lot of the last couple of years and we lost him in amongst the Angel drama. He's coming back to himself and I'm definitely loving seeing it.

And yes, it does feel like we're getting more 'Cas'; that we're seeing more of him struggling with issues, but still being immediately linked to the brothers, and I hope we see more scenes like the closing scene in the future, of them talking and growing closer as a unit.

He makes his own decisions, thinks for himself, and yes he's made mistakes, but he'll right his wrongs.

This is the Cas I like--becoming his own person, learning what it is to feel like humans feel, but maintaining his strength.

Thank you! Yes, I think seeing these Angels reminded me how far Cas has come over the years, and how he's become his own person, with his own thoughts and opinions, not simply following orders.

I love resolved come-what-may Cas and this is a nice encapsulation of his mindset.

Yes to more Lily and more angel magic! I'm thinking introducing the magic might be set up for how TFW will try to resolve the Lucifer/nephilim situation this year.

Me too! He seems so determined and it's great to see him with such a strong sense of purpose.

Awesome piece! You captured the thoughts behind Cas’s recent actions wonderfully for me. I’ve also really been enjoying his protectiveness of late, though this cosmic consequences stuff is sounding pretty foreboding.
